With the new hospital programme now underway, we should consider respite space provision for those expected to work in them so this can be incorporated into the design

We are facing a triple whammy of Brexit, covid and more than a decade of austerity measures placing additional pressures on the already over-stretched public health system and creating further wellbeing concerns among staff. This is thrown into focus by the fact that in 2020 44% of NHS staff reported feeling unwell due to work-related stress.
